A range of safety and hygiene measures are in place to ensure your safety and wellbeing.
The capacity of Sidney Myer Music Bowl has been reduced to 25%. A maximum of 3,000 guests can attend any one Live at the Bowl event. All guests must adhere to the most current health advice from the Victorian Government.
Regular cleaning
- Regularly cleaning and sanitising of the venue and publicly accessible areas with approved disinfectant products throughout the day.
Physical distancing and signage
- You must stay in your designated area for the duration of your event, except to collect food and drinks or use the facilities.
- It is vital to stay at least 1.5 metres from others when moving around the venue.
- Signage around the venue will help you maintain physical distancing, including in high traffic areas where queues may form.
- Entries and exits will be one-way only and marked with signage.
Hand hygiene
- Hand sanitisers are available upon entry and stationed around the venue.
- Hand wash will be regularly restocked in all bathrooms.
Cashless venue
- Sidney Myer Music Bowl is a cashless venue. All points of payment in all areas accept Visa, MasterCard and American Express payments.
Mask wearing
- In line with current advice from the Victorian Government, you must carry a mask with you at all times.
- Marks must be worn in spaces where physical distancing is not possible and when visiting the toilets.
- You are not required to wear a mask in your designated area.
Contact tracing
- QR code registration via a mobile phone is required for all guests on arrival.
- For patrons who do not have a smartphone, or whose mobile device is not QR code compatible, we have iPads on site that allow customers to register their details for contact tracing.
- Data is collected and held securely with no third-party provider involved. The data is automatically deleted after 28 days and will not be disclosed or shared with any third party (as per our Privacy Policy) during that period, except if requested from the Victorian Department of Health and Human Services.

In line with our standard conditions of entry, we will implement additional health and safety measures to ensure your safety and wellbeing. Please note that these additional conditions of entry apply to everyone attending the Sidney Myer Music Bowl and are subject to change without notice.
- If you have the following symptoms, however mild, you must not enter our site: fever, chills or sweats, cough, sore throat, shortness of breath, runny nose, and loss of sense of smell or taste. Please get tested and quarantine at home until you receive your test results.
- You must carry a face mask in accordance with current Victorian Government guidelines. Masks must be worn indoors and in spaces where physical distancing is not possible. You are not required to wear a mask in your designated area.
- You must check-in via QR code on arrival and show your registration confirmation screen to security before being able to enter the venue. For patrons who do not have smartphone, or whose mobile device is not QR code compatible, we have iPads on site that allow customers to register their details for contact tracing.
- All patrons must comply with an ID check and search of bags or belongings if requested before entering the venue. Prohibited items will not be allowed inside the venue.
- By entering our site, you agree to abide by the new health and safety measures outlined in our COVIDSafe & Wellbeing Plan. This can include, but is not limited to, physical distancing, temperature screenings, sanitisation and restricted public access. Failure to comply with these measures may result in you being asked to leave the venue.
- We encourage everyone to download the Australian Government’s COVIDSafe app to enhance contact tracing while at the venue and beyond.
- We retain the right to refuse entry to any person who refuses to adhere to our health and safety measures.
- Security cameras are operating on the premises and you acknowledge that you may be filmed. You consent to and authorise us to film, record or photograph you, and to reproduce recordings in any audio, video, or photographic display or other transmission, exhibition, publication or reproduction in any medium or context for any purpose without further authorisation by, or compensation or attribution to you. All recordings are our sole property and you release us from liability arising on account of such usage.
We ask that you and each member of your booking party make a reasonable assessment of your health status before attending our venue or the event.

If you are concerned about your symptoms, please contact your doctor or the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) coronavirus (COVID-19) hotline on 1800 675 398 for advice on testing. Get tested and quarantine at home until you receive your test results.
If you start to feel unwell while at the venue, you should advise a member of our team and then leave the venue immediately. If you find at a later date you have tested positive for COVID-19 please call our Safety and Security team on 9281 8316, who will treat your call with strict confidence.

If you or a friend are feeling unwell, please see First Aid immediately. Mobile crews will be roaming the venue throughout the show.
Sidney Myer Music Bowl is a safe and inclusive venue for everyone. If you feel like you or any of your friends need some help or wish to report antisocial behaviour feel free to speak to one of our staff or SMS the anti-social hotline - 0418 557 677.
You are welcome to sit, stand or dance within your designated area. For your safety and the safety of others, please remain within your area and maintain a distance of 1.5m from other groups.
For those on stalls tables, please dance in the area behind your tables. For those on private lawn deck, please remain on your deck and do not sit, stand or swing on the rails. Dancing on the lawn itself, or at another deck or table, is not permitted.
